Frederick currently makes his home in San Francisco, on Telegraph Hill with his two Scottish Westies. He is dedicated to the San Francisco community and supports many cultural interests in an effort to preserve the City's wonderful lifestyle amenities.
He is the President of the Eureka Theatre Company, a community-based performance facility. He acted as past President of the Telegraph Terrace Homeowners Association for three years and is a member of the Telegraph Hill Dwellers and San Francisco Olympic Club.
He founded the Russian Hill-Telegraph Hill Graffiti Abatement Team and has been a member of the San Francisco Bay Club for over 25 years. In 2005 he founded the Waterfront Action Group which was instrumental in maintaining the 40 foot height limit on the waterfront. In 2006 he founded and became the first President of the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association.
In 2009, he founded Recreation & Open Space for the Waterfront which is presently working to maintain and expand the Golden Gateway Swim & Tennis Club as the only waterfront recreational facility.
